Review Air Conditioner - How to Determine the Best One

The best air conditioners are not necessarily the ones that have the highest seer rating.
Seer rating is a seasonal energy air conditioning rating / ratio. There are other factors important when considering a new air conditioner for longevity and for efficiency. For example it is important to use the right Freon system; which is the gas inside the air conditioner.

Traditionally there was Freon which is high in chlorine and now there is Puron, which has almost no trace amounts of chlorine and which is environmentally proper.  That’s what we at greenhouse recommend - the more environmental option to reduce pollution.

The other major component of sourcing air conditioning is the compressor.
We recommend the scroll compressor since this is the latest in the strata of compressor technology.  If you picture your old compressor being a little motor with little pistons running, the new air conditioners or the new scroll compressors have non of those items in them. They have virtual compressions of gas and get the desired effect.

It is important for all air conditioning systems to be maintained on an annual basis as they work in conjunction with the outside atmosphere and inside atmosphere. The exterior base has to be washed regularly (annually) and it’s important that we install them in a tradition being mindful of these facts. Some people/installers install air conditioners in places where there are a lot of trees that put sap into the evaporator coils. Coils lead to the premature death of the air conditioner.
